We appreciate your interest in joining SalonVerify. Our organization is dedicated to maintaining the highest standards of hygiene, safety, and ethical practices within the beauty industry. We ask that you read the following policies attentively. By submitting your application, you affirm your commitment to these standards and protocols.
1. Hygiene and Safety Standards
At SalonVerify, we mandate that all member salons uphold strict hygiene and safety protocols, which include but are not limited to the following requirements:
- Regular Cleaning and Disinfection: All tools, equipment, and workspaces must be routinely cleaned, disinfected, and sterilized to ensure a safe environment for both clients and staff.
- Current Risk Assessments: Salons must conduct and maintain up-to-date risk assessments, which should be performed within the last three months.
- Valid Salon Insurance: Each salon is required to have valid and current insurance coverage to operate legally and safely.
- Use of Safe Products: Only beauty products that are legally permitted and recognized as safe can be used in member salons.
- Immediate Product Discontinuation: Any product or practice identified as unsafe or non-compliant must be immediately removed and discontinued.
- Ventilation Standards: Salons must ensure proper ventilation in all treatment areas. This includes maintaining adequate airflow to reduce airborne contaminants and promote a healthy environment for both clients and staff.
2. Banned Chemicals and Products
To safeguard the health and well-being of both clients and staff, SalonVerify strictly prohibits the use of the following chemicals and products in all member salons:
- Methyl Methacrylate (MMA)
- Toluene
- Formaldehyde
- Parabens (including substances such as butylparaben and propylparaben)
- Phthalates (such as dibutyl phthalate, DBP)
Important Note: This list is subject to ongoing review and may change as new research and regulations emerge. SalonVerify will promptly notify all member salons via email of any updates to the list of banned chemicals or products. It remains the responsibility of each salon to ensure compliance with the most current regulations.
3. Ethical Working Policy
SalonVerify is committed to the fair and ethical treatment of all beauty professionals. Our standards include:

All employees should be hired under fair, transparent, and lawful contracts, ensuring equal opportunities and non-discriminatory practices are upheld at all times.

Member salons must cultivate a safe, supportive, and respectful workplace environment for all employees.
